Bushido

Bushido is the code of honour of the Japanese military caste, from which the schools of karate and other eastern martial arts were born. The code governs control of body and mind through rigorous training, and comprises seven fundamental virtues : Gi : strict sense of duty – Yu : courage – Jin : graciousness – Rei : respect – Makoto : sincerity – Meiyo : honour – Chugi : loyalty.
